How to get your SmartPass Clipper 

开放大学 & 特别会议:

作为一个 开放大学 or 特别会议 student you must become a member of Associated 学生 (AS) by paying the 作为费用 和 meet the eligibilty critieria in order to obtain a SmartPass. If you are eligible, follow the steps below. 

  1. Request a SmartPass Clipper card 网络请求. 
  2. 把你的 菠菜网lol正规平台 Student Identification Card along with a photo ID to the AS General 服务s Cashier counter (located in Student Union, Room 1800) 和 pay the 作为费用 plus the $3 clipper card fee. 工作人员会 issue your SmartPass Clipper card. The 作为费用 is not refundable.
  3. Take your receipt to the 卡塔 Window in the Student 服务s Center (North Garage, 1st Floor), present the SmartPass Clipper card 和 作为费用 receipt 和 apply for a 卡塔.
Renewing Your SmartPass:

开放大学 和 特别会议 students are required to renew their SmartPass every semester by paying the 作为费用. The renewal deadline for Fall Semester is the last day of September, 和 the renewal deadline for Spring Semester is the last day 2月. If the deadline falls on a day in which AS General 服务s is closed, the deadline is the next day that AS General 服务s is open. There is no need to renew during the Summer 和 Winter Semesters.

To renew your SmartPass, visit the AS General 服务s. You will need to present your SmartPass Clipper 和 卡塔 to the staff. Renewal notifications are sent from transportation@ngskmc-eis.net to the primary email on your My菠菜网lol正规平台 account. The deadline to renew for Spring is February 和 the deadline to renew for Fall is September.

SmartPass Clippers that have not been renewed will be deactivated. If you renew after the deadline, there will be a $10 late renewal fee. Please note: Your Smarpass will not be immediately reactivated, it will take 5-7 business days to process the reactivation. 

You can opt out of the program by not paying the renewal fee. If you want to reactivate your Smartpass during a later semester you can do so by paying the 作为费用. 重新激活 your pass will take 5-7 business days.

International Gateways:

  1. Obtain your TowerCard during your orientation.
  2. 完成 online request form.
  3. 访问 AS General 服务s (located in Student Union, Room 1800), 和 present your 塔ID. No payment for the physical card is required.

学生 who meet the eligibility criteria 和 have current enrollment can obtain 的Smartpass. Renewal fees do not apply to International Gateways students. 然而, students must pay for replacement fees.
